Hitachi to Introduce New Products at BICSI, Orlando

Hitachi Cable Manchester (HCM) has announced that it will be using the January 2006 BICSI tradeshow in Orlando to promote some of its new products. In the last year alone, HCM has launched dozens of new cable products. At the tradeshow, HCM will be focusing on those products designed specifically for Information Transport Systems (ITS) and the fact that all HCM products are RoHS compliant.

Some of the products on display will be their new Premium Category 6 cable. The Premium Category 6 cable, an enhanced cable, falls between their Plus and Supra Category 6 cables in both price and performance. It's a high performance cable with significant headroom over the Category 6 standards. It's also available in a Reelex Pull-Box.

Also on display will be their new 6-strand and 12-strand indoor/outdoor plenum rated fiber optic cables. Also available in riser rated versions, the cables permit the installer to go between buildings, through plenum spaces and directly into telecommunications closets. Since you don't have to transfer from outside plant cable to inside plant cable, as required by the National Electric Code for outside plant cables, you save materials and time.

Another new product from the engineers at HCM is their Secura outside plant Category 6 POE cable. This 22 AWG cable is specifically designed to provide power, control and video to outside cameras. One of these cables, when used for a PTZ camera, can replace a coax for video, a two-conductor cable for control and electrical wiring for power.
